Yamaha LC 150
Yamaha has ventured out into the motor business and has made numerous things motor, including motor engines for boats as well as making full motorcycles of all sizes and shapes.
The Japanese company has come leaps and bounds in recent years in the motoring business. Yamaha is now a household name especially in the Asian countries in the east because of their affinity to operating two wheelers on a regular basis.
To add to its line of well-liked bikes, the company released the Yamaha LC 150. The moped has brought a lot to the table in comparison to the other models in the same segment from other manufacturers, showing off a sportier façade that makes it one to have so as to cruise around the city, ducking in and out of traffic.
This Yamaha product has been infused with more on road power as such gets a 150 cc four stroke engine that is mated to a 5 speed gear system with a liquid cooling system. The machine is capable of churning out a maximum power of up to 11.3 kW (15.4 PS) at 8500 rpm and torque of 13.8 Nm (1.4 kgf.m) at 7000 rpm. The engine is similar to what is installed in the FZ150. Yamaha claims the top speed that can be achieved hovers around 136 kilometres per hour.
The Yamaha LC 150 also has implemented a Yamaha injection technology (YMJET-FI) so that the fuel consumption is as economical as possible without inhibiting performance. The fuel capacity is 4.7 litres.
The tires on the moped, which are of a tubeless kind, have been beefed up, probably to award the two-wheeler more traction on the urban streets. The front tire has grown to 70/90/17 and rear to 120/70/17. The hydraulic brake discs governing these tires also have measurements of 245 mm and 203 mm for front and back respectively.
