SEA GAMES Golden Hopefuls

Two years ago, Team Malaysia took home more than 43 golds, 38 silvers, and over 77 bronzes. With an impressive track record, there is no doubt that the Malaysian team will also reign high this year! With the SEA Games approaching in the next few days, we’d like to take a moment to highlight some of the favorite athletes and sports you should not miss at the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore.

Football

The confidence 18-year old striker S.Kmaahra remains highly optimistic for the Under-23 Team to come up top at the SEA Games. He believes that his training in Brazil with Cruzeiro will give him that extra touch this year. He said that his trainings improved his play tremendously. Although it was not for a long period of that he was offered the change to practice at the academy, he was “thankful for the opportunity as I returned home with a rich experience.” (Football Channel) This new comer is packed with fresh moves that will surely spice things up at the arena.

Aquatics

This has been one of the sports that Malaysia have swept countless golds to the collection. Two years ago, the drivers took home eight gold medals in Myanmar. Malaysia is probably the only country within the Southeast Asia region to have such world-class diving athletes. One of the very hopeful aquatic category would be the men’s 200 meters freestyle, 400 meters freestyle, as well as the 4 x 200 meters freestyle relay. Katrina Ann Hadi and Zulane Lee have the strong chance to take the number 1 spot in the synchronized swimming for Team Malaysia.

Snooker and Billiards

The hopes are high for the snooker duo Thor Chuan Leong and Moh Keen Ho to take the golf for the third time. Chuan Leong is aiming exclusively for the singles title. Although Malaysia is not known for the Billiards, we are hopeful that the former 11-time World Champions title like Mike Rusell, now the national coach, will guide the way for the team to victory.
